ABOUT CLARK:

Clark Chu, formerly of Gig Harbor, Washington and now living and working in Portland, Oregon, is a funeral industry professional with 5 years of experience as a removal technician, crematory operator, and funeral director. He began his career at a small family-owned funeral home, then spent some time working for a large funeral corporation before returning to the small business side of the industry to better serve the families he works with and his community as a whole.

Reflecting on his time in the funeral industry, Clark says: “While I’m still at the beginning of my career, my experiences with my client families as well as in everyday life have shown me just how important it is for people to have spaces to ask questions about death. I also aspire to better serve the unique needs of marginalized communities, who are often affected by death in unique ways. I hope that by providing just one such space, I can help empower people to make informed decisions for themselves and their loved ones, and hopefully ease some of the fear that often accompanies this weighty subject.”
